The research of this thesis entitled artificial vision system to determine the flow of traffic congestion in a passable road in the city of Tarapoto, developed by Bachelor Jack Pezo Torres, studies the vehicle behavior through congestion flow calculation carried out by the machine vision system simulated in a model with objects representing the vehicles. It was tested certain parameters such data by the researcher and the data generated by the machine IVisión system. It was IVisiónIV to implement the system software and machine IVisión in the model to simulate the vehicle behavior in that way, obtaining the number of vehicles and then calculate the flow of traffic congestion. These data were compared in two study groups comprising the gains made by the researcher and display the results generated by the machine IVisión system. For purposes of development of the thesis 7 tests comparing each study group collected data and the flow calculations performed traffic congestion. These results indicated the approval of alternative hypotheses and through it would conclude that the IVisión systems MAY DETERMINE THE FLOW OF CONGESTION IN A VEHICLE VIA passable.
