Evaluación de la Calidad del Aire en Términos de N02, S02 y Nivel de Presión Sonora en el Centro Urbano de la Ciudad de Tarapoto

Abstract

La contaminación atmosférica es uno de los problemas de mayor trascendencia en las ciudades modernas y su principal agente contaminador es la propia gente a través de la quema de combustibles. La ciudad de Tarapoto, ubicada en la Selva Alta de la región San Martín en el Perú, no escapa a esa realidad. El presente trabajo de tesis ha sido titulado "EVALUACIÓN DE LA CALIDAD DEL AIRE EN TÉRMINOS DE N02, S02 Y NIVEL DE PRESIÓN SONORA EN EL CENTRO URBANO DE LA CIUDAD DE TARAPOTO". El aspecto central de la investigación consiste en monitorear la concentración de los gases N02 y y el Nivel de Presión Sonora en el aire, y luego establecer una comparación de los resultados con los valores de referencia recomendados por la Organización Mundial de la Salud. La conclusión final es que el aire del centro urbano de la ciudad de Tarapoto se encuentra contaminado o, por lo menos, está en un grave proceso creciente de contaminación con los tres contaminantes monitoreados. Se ha apreciado que la fuente principal de la contaminación mencionada es generada por el parque automotor y que actualmente no se están aplicando medidas efectivas para controlar esta contaminación. En el sentido de contribuir a mitigar la contaminación atmosférica actual, se plantean dos acciones básicas: la promulgación de una ordenanza municipal que regule la calidad ambiental del aire y la ejecución de un plan de acción para controlar la contaminación denominado "A Limpiar el Aire", en el marco de las estipulaciones legales vigentes en el Perú. El presente informe de tesis contiene, entre otras, las siguientes partes más importantes: Materiales y Métodos que contempla el marco lógico de la investigación; resultados ilustrados con información de monitoreo y gráficos, conclusiones y recomendaciones a nivel de gestión integral y de acciones puntuales y, finalmente, propuestas mejoradas de una ordenanza municipal y un plan de acción para controlar la contaminación atmosférica.

The atmospheric contamination is one of the problems of greater importance in the modern cities and their main contaminating agent is the own people through burns it of fuels. The city of Tarapoto, located in the high forest of the region San Martin in Peru, is not free of that reality and with the purpose of investigating the air quality in her the present work has been made. The present thesis work has been titled "EVALUATION OF THE AIR QUALITY IN TERMS OF N02, S02 AND LEVEL OF SONOROUS PRESSURE IN THE URBAN CENTER OF THE TARAPOTO CITY". central aspect of the investigation consists of measuring the concentration of gases N02 and S02 and the Level of Sonorous Pressure in the air, and later to establish a comparison of the results with the values of reference recommended by the World Health Organization. The final conclusion is that the air of the urban center of the Tarapoto city is contaminated or. at least, it is in a serious increasing process of contamination with the three measured polluting agents. It has been appraised that the fundamental factor of the mentioned contamination is the transit of automotive and, at the moment, is not being applied effective actions to control this contamination. In order to contribute to mitigate the current atmospheric contamination, two basic actions are considered: the promulgation of a municipal law that regulates the environmental quality of the air and the implementation of an action plan named "To Clean the Air" to control the contamination, within the framework of the present legal stipulations in Peru. The present thesis report contains, among others, the following more important parts: Materials and Methods that contemplate the logical frame of the investigation, Results abundantly illustrated with measurement information and graphs, Conclusions and Recommendations at level of integral management and precise actions and, finally, Propose of a Legal Norm and an Action Plan to control the atmospheric contamination.
