Potencial para el desarrollo del turismo de aventura en el distrito de Picota, provincia de Picota, departamento de San Martín, año 2015

Abstract

La presente tesis titulada “Potencial para el desarrollo del turismo de aventura en el Distrito de Picota, Provincia de Picota, Departamento de San Martín, 2015” se planteó los siguientes objetivos; 1) Evaluar las características de los recursos con vocación turística para el desarrollo del turismo de aventura en el distrito de Picota. 2) Determinar el nivel de interés de las autoridades locales y empresarios turísticos para el desarrollo del turismo en el distrito de Picota. 3) Identificar los tipos de actividades de turismo de aventura que se pueden desarrollar en el distrito de Picota. 4) Determinar el grado de interés de los visitantes que arriban a la ciudad de Tarapoto para realizar actividades de turismo de aventura en el distrito de Picota. 5) Proponer un programa de actividades que permita promover el desarrollo del turismo de aventura en el distrito de Picota. El nivel del estudio es descriptivo, la población objeto de estudio está constituida por 364,158 visitantes o turistas nacionales e internacionales que arriban a la ciudad de Tarapoto, de los cuales se obtuvo la muestra conformada por 384 visitantes, seleccionados de forma aleatoria. Los instrumentos de recolección de datos fueron guías de entrevistas, dirigidos; a la autoridad local de la provincia de Picota (Alcalde), representante de la Dirección Regional de Comercio Exterior y Turismo (DIRCETUR) y al empresario que fomenta e invierten en turismo de aventura; un cuestionario dirigido a los visitantes que arriban a la ciudad de Tarapoto y la aplicación de fichas de inventario para evaluar cada recurso turístico. Los resultados de la aplicación de las fichas de inventario a los recursos turísticos demuestran la existencia de potencial para el desarrollo del turismo de aventura en el Distrito de Picota, sin embargo existen factores que limitan el desarrollo de ésta actividad, los cuales son: la inexistencia de un acceso adecuado a los recursos turísticos, asimismo la autoridad local no cuenta con un plan de desarrollo turístico, la población no demuestra interés por la actividad turística y el empresariado del rubro turístico aun no considera la intención de invertir en el Distrito ya que no encuentran condiciones establecidas para el desarrollo de esta actividad. The present thesis titled “Potential for the development of the tourism of adventure in the District of Picota, Provincial of Picota, Department of San Martín, 2015” posed the following aims; 1) To evaluate the characteristics of the resources with tourist vocation for the development of the tourism of adventure in the district of Picota. 2) To determine the level of interest of the local authorities and tourist businessperson for the development of the tourism in the district of Picota 3) To identify the types of activities of tourism of adventure that can develop in the district of Picota. 4) To determine the degree of interest of the visitors who arrive at Tarapoto's city to realize activities of tourism of adventure in the district of Picota.5) To propose a program of activities that allows to promote the development of the tourism of adventure in the district of Picota. The level of the study is descriptive, the population object of study is constituted by 364,158 visitors or national and international tourists who arrive at Tarapoto's city, of which there was obtained the sample shaped by 384 visitors, selected of random form. The instruments of compilation of information were guides of interviews, directed; to the local authority of the province of Picota (Mayor), representative of the Regional Direction of Exterior Trade and Tourism (DIRCETUR) and to the businessman who promotes and they invest in tourism of adventure; a questionnaire directed the visitors who arrive at Tarapoto's city and the application of inventor cards to evaluate every tourist resource. The results of the application of the index cards of inventory of the tourist resources show the existence of potential for the development of the tourism of adventure in the District of Picota, however exist factors that limit the development of this activity, which are: The nonexistence of an access adapted to the tourist resources, likewise the local authority does not possess a plan of tourist development, the population does not demonstrate interest for the tourist activity and the business community of the tourist item, even does not consider the intention of investing in the District since they do not find conditions established for the development of this activity.
