Síndrome climatérico y su asociación con el funcionamiento familiar en mujeres atendidas en el Hospital II – 2 MINSA – Tarapoto. agosto – diciembre 2016

Abstract

El presente estudio es una Investigación cuantitativa, descriptiva - prospectiva, de corte transversal, con diseño Correlacional, que se realizó con el objetivo de ddeterminar la asociación entre el síndrome Climatérico y el Funcionamiento Familiar en mujeres atendidas en el Hospital II – 2 Tarapoto. Agosto – Diciembre 2016.La Muestra estuvo constituida por 370 mujeres entre 45 a 64 años. Para el recojo de información del Síndrome climatérico se utilizó la Scala Menopausa Rating Scale (MRS) desarrollado por Schneider & Heinemann en 1996 y validada en Chile y para el Funcionamiento Familiar el Cuestionario de Funcionamiento Familiar FF-SIL elaborado por Ortega, T., De la Cuesta, D. and Días, C. (1999).

Resultados: Las mujeres climatéricas oscilan entre 56 – 64 años (89,9%), son convivientes (47,6%), grado de instrucción secundaria (60,3%) y amas de casa (74,9%). La sintomatología más frecuentes son: dificultad para conciliar el sueño (65,9%), problemas urinarios (55,1%), sensación de mucosa oral seca (53,2%) y molestias al corazón (43,0%). El 55,7% presenta sintomatología de intensidad leve, el 42,2% moderada y el 1,4% severa. Es frecuente la muestra de cariño (76,7%), vivir en armonía (66%), ayuda mutua (57,6%) y cumplimiento de responsabilidades (54,3%). El 48,4% son familia moderadamente funcional, 25,7% familia disfuncional y 17,6% familia funcional. Todas las dimensiones del síndrome climatérico tienen fuerte asociación al funcionamiento familiar (p<0.05).

Conclusiones: existe asociación estadísticamente significativa entre el síndrome Climatérico y el Funcionamiento Familiar en mujeres atendidas en el Hospital II – 2 Tarapoto. Agosto a Diciembre 2016 (p<0.05).

The objective of this study was to determine the association between Climatric Syndrome and Family Function in women treated at Hospital II - 2 MINSA - Tarapoto. Period August - December 2016. The type of research was quantitative, descriptive - prospective, cross-sectional, with a Correlational design. The sample consisted of 370 women between 45 and 64 years old. The results found were: Female climatters range from 56-64 years (89.9%), are cohabiting (47.6%), secondary education (60.3%) and housewives (74.9% ). The most frequent climacteric symptoms were difficulty sleeping (65.9%), urinary problems (55.1%), dry oral mucosa (53.2%) and heart discomfort (43.0%). The intensity of the symptoms is mild (55.7%), moderate (42.2%) and severe (1.4%). Among the indicators of family functioning are: affection (76.7%), living in harmony (66%), accepting the defects of others and overcoming (62.7%), family problems help each other (57 , 6%) and each fulfills its responsibilities (54.3%). 48.4% of climacteric women have a moderately functional family, 25.7% dysfunctional family and 17.6% functional family. All dimensions of the climacteric syndrome have a strong association with family functioning (p <0.05). It is concluded: There is a statistically significant association between Climatérico syndrome and Family functioning in women attended at Hospital II - 2 MINSA - Tarapoto, during the period August to December 2016 (p <0.05).
