The objective of this research was to determine the efficiency of the occupational health and safety plan of the PEAM machinery pool located in the province of Rioja. For this purpose, in the operative part a sample of 23 workers was considered, initiating the application a questionnaire to determine the perception of the workers with respect to said plan, continuing with the tasks of communication, sensitization and the documentary review. In the results, it is concluded that the workers are satisfied with regard to the training received, considering the occupational health and safety plan to be of great importance. In the structure dimension we find that although resources are allocated for the plan, these take time to materialize in addition to not having the human resources dedicated exclusively for these tasks. In the process dimension, the main weakness of the plan is that the irrigation to which the drivers of the heavy machinery are exposed is not yet fully controlled, in addition that the worrying test partially takes into account the psychological and physiological requirements for the jobs. Finally, the plan is efficient in terms of controlling risk factors, goals, activities schedule, personal protection elements, emergency plan, induction process, job training, to the training plan and involvement in training, and in terms of the report of accidents at work, demarcation and signage. However, it is not very efficient in terms of sanitation and environmental protection and the participation of the joint committee.
