The situation of the pluvial sewerage networks of the city of Moyobamba presents serious problems related to their use. The objective of the research was: To evaluate sedimentation in relation to the state of the pluvial sewerage networks, Moyobamba. Using the float gauging method and the gravimetric method, it was determined that the minimum flow was 0.087 m3/s during the low water season and the maximum flow was 2.42 m3/s; likewise, the lowest amount of settleable solids was 0.12 mg/L*h and the highest was 1.33 mg/L*h, considering the presence of 86.54 % of sand as the largest amount. In addition, according to criteria established by the Water Resource Center (WRC) of England, the quality of the sewer is poor and the level of corrosion is high; the main problems related to sedimentation in the sewer system were identified, determined by the presence of solid waste such as rags, plastics and glass, as well as sand and stones. The conclusion is that sedimentation in the sewage networks is related to the condition of the sewage networks, so the amount of waste that is thrown into the sewers must be controlled, in addition to improving the currently mentionned infrastructure.
