Optimización del manejo de residuos sólidos en Institución Educativa Pública, mediante la implementación de un Plan de Gestión Integral de Residuos Sólidos

Abstract

El Plan de Manejo de Residuos Sólidos en la Institución Educativa Pública es un instrumento de gestión ambiental e institucional conformado por acciones técnicas y legales efectuadas por la comunidad educativa en su conjunto. Su principal objetivo es optimizar el manejo de los residuos sólidos generados en las instituciones educativas, así como, promover la participación activa y sostenida de la comunidad educativa en el cuidado y la protección del ambiente, a través de charlas y talleres ambientales vivenciales para lograr su concientización y el fortalecimiento y la aplicación de capacidades sobre gestión ambiental de los residuos sólidos. En el presente trabajo de investigación se realizó los siguientes pasos para la gestión y manejo de los residuos sólido en la Institución Educativa: Diagnóstico: identificar el tipo de residuo, Minimización: reducir, reusar, reciclar, Segregación, Reaprovechamiento: reciclaje, taller de manualidades, abonos orgánicos y Almacenamiento temporal: recolección selectiva para rellenos sanitarios o para reaprovechamiento y comercialización; cumpliendo la finalidad de eliminar, mitigar y controlar los efectos adversos que puede generar la mala gestión de los residuos dentro de la Institución Educativa Shucshuyacu perturbada por la actividad educativa diaria, para que este alcance características de un ambiente saludable y sin riesgo a la salud de los estudiantes, trabajadores y comunidad educativa en general. La prueba estadística demuestra que si existe diferencia significativa entre los valores pre y post tratamiento.

The Solid Waste Management Plan in the Public Educational Institution is an environmental and institutional management tool made up of technical and legal actions carried out by the educational community as a whole. Its main objective is to optimize the management of solid waste generated in educational institutions, as well as to promote the active and sustained participation of the educational community in the care and protection of the environment, through lectures and experiential environmental workshops to achieve awareness and the strengthening and implementation of capacities on environmental management of solid waste. In this research work, the following steps were taken for the management and handling of solid waste in the Educational Institution: Diagnosis: identify the type of waste, Minimization: reduce, reuse, recycle, Segregation, Reuse: recycling, handicraft workshop, organic fertilizers and Temporary storage: selective collection for sanitary landfills or for reuse and commercialization; fulfilling the purpose of eliminating, mitigating and controlling the adverse effects that can be generated by poor waste management within the Shucshuyacu Educational Institution disturbed by the daily educational activity, so that this reaches characteristics of a healthy environment and without risk to the health of students, workers and educational community in general. The statistical test shows that there is a significant difference between pre- and post-treatment values.
