dc.description.abstract | Objetivo: Determinar la caracterización del fenotipo cintura hipertrigliceridémica en paciente con Diabetes Mellitus Tipo 2 en el Hospital II – 2 Tarapoto. Método: Estudio observacional, descriptivo, retrospectivo de corte transversal, realizado en el Hospital II – 2 Tarapoto, enero a diciembre 2019. Se revisaron las historias clínicas de los pacientes atendidos en el servicio de medicina del Hospital II – 2 Tarapoto desde el 1 de enero al 31 de diciembre del 2019. Se aplicaron criterios de inclusión y exclusión y se obtuvieron 162 pacientes que tenían datos clínicos y de laboratorio completos para poder ser incluidos en la investigación. Resultados: Según el rango de edad, se encontró que el 50% de pacientes con Diabetes Mellitus tipo 2 tuvieron entre 61 – 70 años, el 62% fueron de sexo femenino y 84% presentaron control médico regular. Respecto a las características clínicas, el 91% presentaron pérdida de peso menor a 3kg, el 41% presentó índice de masa corporal normal, 35% sobrepeso, 18% algún grado de obesidad. En cuanto a las características laboratoriales, el 32% presentó hipercolesterolemia, 23% hipertrigliceridemia, 61% HDL colesterol disminuido, 82% presentó hiperglicemia. Además, se encontró que el 52% tuvieron perímetro abdominal aumentado presentando obesidad central. También se encontró que el 19% presentaron fenotipo cintura hipertrigliceridémica, de los cuales el 55% fueron del sexo femenino, 45.1% se encontraron en el rango de edad de 61 – 70 años y 94% presentaron hiperglicemia. Conclusión: Se encontró que predominó el grupo etario entre 61 – 70 años, con mayor frecuencia mujeres. Además, se encontró que el 32% presentaron hipercolesterolemia, 23% hipertrigliceridemia y el 61% HDL colesterol disminuido. Así también, se encontró que en su mayoría los pacientes presentaron hiperglicemia y el 48% presentaron niveles de hemoglobina glicosilada con riesgo moderado de presentar complicaciones. Finalmente, se encontró que el 19% de pacientes presentan fenotipo cintura hipertrigliceridémica, de los cuales en mayor porcentaje fueron mujeres y que además no tuvieron un adecuado control de glicemia. | es_PE |
dc.description.abstract | Objective: To determine the characterization of the hypertriglyceridemic waist phenotype in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus at Hospital II - 2 Tarapoto. Methods: Observational, descriptive, retrospective, cross-sectional, retrospective study conducted at Hospital II - 2 Tarapoto, from January to December 2019. The medical records of patients attended in the medicine service of Hospital II - 2 Tarapoto from January 1 to December 31, 2019 were reviewed. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied and 162 patients were obtained who had complete clinical and laboratory data to be included in the research. Results: According to age range, it was found that 50% of patients with type 2 Diabetes Mellitus were between 61 - 70 years old, 62% were female and 84% presented regular medical control. Regarding clinical characteristics, 91% presented weight loss of less than 3kg, 41% presented normal body mass index, 35% overweight, 18% some degree of obesity. Regarding laboratory characteristics, 32% presented hypercholesterolemia, 23% hypertriglyceridemia, 61% decreased HDL cholesterol, 82% presented hyperglycemia. In addition, it was found that 52% had increased abdominal perimeter presenting central obesity. It was also found that 19% presented hypertriglyceridemic waist phenotype, of which 55% were female, 45.1% were in the age range of 61 - 70 years and 94% presented hyperglycemia. Conclusion: It was found that the age group between 61 - 70 years predominated, with a higher frequency of women. In addition, it was found that 32% presented hypercholesterolemia, 23% hypertriglyceridemia and 61% decreased HDL cholesterol. It was also found that the majority of patients presented hyperglycemia and 48% presented glycosylated hemoglobin levels with moderate risk of presenting complications.
