Soil biodiversity accounts for more than 25% of the world's biodiversity, and despite the importance they have in the various processes occurring in the soil have been vaguely studied by the scientists who prioritize the physical and chemical part of the soil, well they are also very important have forgotten the biological part that allows both properties can be in equilibrium in the ecosystem and be maintained over time. That is why it is very important to take into account that macroinvertebrates are part of the biological biodiversity of the soil and that their main function is the decomposition and transformation of organic matter as well as participate in the cycling of nutrients, soil aeration, release of gases greenhouse and carbon sequestration. The present study identifies its importance in the maintenance of the ecosystem and its presence in the soil of diverse uses (monoculture and agroforestry system) in coffee plantations in the province of Lamas where the richness, density, biomass and vertical distribution of the same in the 6 agro-ecological units (2 for each locality) located in Chirapa, San Roque and Nuevo Chota, using the sampling system applied by the TSBF at the international level in tropical zones (monoliths of 25 x 25 x 30 cm) that was used in the rainy season of our country and that the data were compared to identify if there is a difference in the variables evaluated in the different production systems, finding that there is no significant difference in the overall results, but that independently agroecological units showed important differences and contradictory to the general results obtained in the world that should be with greater emphasis to complement the theories that begin to appear in our territory since each country has a different reality and where Peru is called to participate continuously for the development of its people
