The objective of this research study was "To determine the relationship between antecedents of urinary tract infection and preterm delivery in postpartum women attended at Hospital II - 2 Tarapoto, 2017", non - experimental, quantitative, descriptive and retrospective research. In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between the history of urinary tract infection and preterm delivery, when applying the non-parametric chi square test with a level of significance of 95%, the degree of dependence being that there is a relationship between both variables, X2 = 39,768 and p = 0.0010 (p <0.05).
