Abstract: La presente investigación responde a la pregunta ¿Cuál es la efectividad del “índice Predictivo de Castro Rodríguez” en el diagnóstico de Asma en niños de 3 -14 años atendidos en el Servicio de Pediatría del Hospital MINSA II-2 Tarapoto. Agosto-Diciembre. 2018?. Para esto se planteó el objetivo general: Determinar efectividad del “índice Predictivo de Castro Rodríguez” en el diagnóstico de Asma en niños de 3 -14 años atendidos en el Servicio de Pediatría del Hospital MINSA II-2 Tarapoto. Agosto-Diciembre. 2018. Los materiales y método: Se realizó un estudio cuantitativo, descriptivo, con recolección de datos prospectivo, con una muestra de 104 niños de 3 -14 años. Los resultados: Predomina el sexo masculino. La edad que predomino fue de 5 años con un 16.3%. La efectividad del índice predictivo de Castro-Rodríguez en el diagnóstico de asma resultó de 55%. El IPA positivo (+) es 54,8%, y IPA negativo (-) con 45,2%. El 51,9%, cumplió con 1 criterio mayor, el 47,1%, cumplió con 2 criterios menores necesario según IPA positivo (+) propuesto por Castro- Rodríguez en el diagnóstico de Asma en niños de 3 -14 años. La sensibilidad de esta prueba diagnóstica fue de 59%, la especificidad de 77%. El VPN fue de 21 % y el VPP de 95%. Conclusión: Estos resultados nos ayudan a valorar la capacidad predictiva de una prueba diagnóstica como es índice predictivo de Castro-Rodríguez.
The following investigation answers the question: What is the effectiveness of the "Predictive index of Castro Rodríguez" in the diagnosis of Asthma in children aged 3 to 14 years seen in the Pediatric Service of the Tarapoto II-2 MINSA Hospital August - December 2018? For this, the general objective was established: Determine the effectiveness of the "Castro Rodriguez Predictive Index" in the diagnosis of Asthma in children aged 3 to 14 years in the Pediatric Service of the Tarapoto II-2 MINSA Hospital, August - December 2018. The materials and method: A quantitative, descriptive study was conducted with prospective data collection, with a sample of 104 children aged 3 -14 years. The results: Male sex predominates. The age that predominated was 5 years with 16.3%. The effectiveness of the predictive index of Castro-Rodríguez in the diagnosis of asthma was 55%. The positive IPA (+) is 54.8%, and negative IPA (-) with 45.2%. 51.9% fulfilled 1 major criterion, 47.1%, met 2 minor criteria necessary according to positive IPA (+) proposed by Castro-Rodríguez in the diagnosis of Asthma in children aged 3 -14 years. The sensitivity of this diagnostic test was 59%, the specificity 77%. the NPV was 21% and the PPV of 95. Conclusion: These results help us to assess the predictive capacity of a diagnostic test such as the predictive index of Castro-Rodríguez.
