Abstract
To talk about tourism in Peru is to place it as the third largest industry in the country, followed by fishing and mining. The types of tourism that can be done are very diverse such as archaeological monuments, as it has more than one hundred thousand sites of interest, ecotourism in the Peruvian Amazon, cultural tourism in colonial cities, gastronomic tourism, adventure tourism and tourism from the beach With the entry of tourists to the different circuits that are offered in Peru, a series of services are activated that necessarily require: transportation, hotel, restaurants, tourism agencies, etc. And parallel to this, providing a quality service, both in the products offered and the professional staff that accompanies it. San Martín, as a region located in the Peruvian jungle, is no stranger to this development and growth, as it has a tourist heritage that is very rich in nature and culture. The development of this social, cultural and economic activity, promotes various tourism investments at the level of infrastructure, buildings, which leads to growth and development in the host country. This encourages and compromises the improvement of transport systems, currency growth, unemployment decreases, guides service quality and improves the quality of life of the population. The objective of the present is to determine the importance of leadership in the Professional Tourism Guide in order to guarantee the quality of service in the San Martín region - 2019.
