The following investigation was carried out using LandSat satellite images corresponding to Soritor district, using the Remote Perception Systems (SPR) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), as the most optimal to generate the required information that allowed the mapping and identification of areas of primary forest and deforested areas, which were entered and processed using the GIS; as well as the statistical information that allowed to understand the dynamics of the population and the advance of territorial occupation. The annual deforestation average rate between the two 10-year period (1986 - 1996 and 1996 - 2006) is 829 ha, the average annual deforestation rate in the biennial period 2006 - 2008 is 862.56 ha; the area of primary forest in 2008 is 35,004.47 ha; which represents 60% of the district scope, the average annual deforestation rate of primary forests amounts to 845.78 ha; during the study period (1986-2008). The deforested primary forest area amounts to 18,035.34 ha, during the study period (1986-2008). This allowed us to determine the estimated correlation index between the variables “Estimated population” and “Primary forest area per hectare”, giving a value of (r = - 0.991), which demonstrates the existence of a very strong inverse correlation, that is to say As the population increases, the trend line in the decrease of primary forests in the district is greater. With these data it can be inferred that the collapse of the primary forest system with an estimated population load of 59,106 inhabitants. The population burden will be reached for the collapse of the system in the year 2027.
