Abstract: El presente estudio titulado: “Características epidemiológicas, clínicas y factores de riesgo en pacientes hospitalizados por neumonía Covid-19, atendidos en el Hospital II-2 Tarapoto en el periodo de marzo a octubre de 2020”. Planteó como objetivo general: Describir las características epidemiológicas, clínicas y factores de riesgo en los pacientes hospitalizados por Neumonía COVID-19, atendidos en el Hospital II-2 Tarapoto en el periodo de marzo a octubre de 2020. Para el logro del objetivo se aplicó una ficha de análisis documental considerando 256 historias clínicas, siendo un estudio básico, descriptivo, no experimental, retrospectivo y transversal. Principales resultados: El 94% de los pacientes presentó disnea. El 55.5% fueron adultos entre 30 y 59 años. El 68% perteneció al sexo masculino. El 64.5% provino de la provincia de San Martín. La hipertensión arterial y la obesidad, se presentaron en el 25% y 25% de los pacientes, respectivamente. Conclusiones: Las características clínicas encontradas fueron: disnea, taquipnea, fiebre, tos, malestar general, taquicardia, presión arterial superior a 130/80 mmHg, cefalea, dolor torácico, hipoxemia grave, dolor de garganta y mialgia. Se identificaron como características epidemiológicas: sexo masculino, adultos entre 30 y 59 años, procedencia de la provincia de San Martín y ocupación en labores domésticas. Finalmente, se identificaron como factores de riesgo: la hipertensión arterial, la obesidad y la diabetes mellitus.
The present study entitled: "Epidemiological and clinical characteristics and risk factors in patients hospitalized for Covid-19 pneumonia, attended at Hospital II-2 Tarapoto in the period from March to October 2020" has as general objective: To describe the epidemiological and clinical characteristics and risk factors in patients hospitalized for COVID-19 pneumonia, treated at Hospital II-2 Tarapoto from March to October 2020. In order to achieve the objective, a documentary analysis form was applied considering 256 clinical histories, being a basic, descriptive, non-experimental, retrospective and cross-sectional study. Main results: 94% of the patients presented dyspnea. The 55.5% were adults between 30 and 59 years of age. Sixty-eight percent were male. The 64.5% came from the province of San Martín. Arterial hypertension and obesity were present in 25% and 25% of the patients respectively. Conclusions: The clinical characteristics found were: dyspnea, tachypnea, fever, cough, general malaise, tachycardia, blood pressure above 130/80 mmHg, headache, chest pain, severe hypoxemia, sore throat and myalgia. Epidemiological characteristics were identified as follows: male sex, adults between 30 and 59 years of age, origin from the province of San Martín and occupation in domestic work. Finally, the following were identified as risk factors: arterial hypertension, obesity and diabetes mellitus.
